Music : John Geel
Lyrics : John Geel

The song If You Ever Need A Dance came out just like that. It has a mixture of resistance against dance music as a whole ( as far as it concerns the overwhelming influence it has on contemporary music) and not in the least just because I do not like to dance….J. To be short: music is also about dance but today the influence of dance on music sometimes has become to big. It's just one of those theme's one sometimes like to write about.

Some sunny day, you never thought it would come this way
Come on down, and there she went, never thought you I'd understand
All that I have heard, came down (on me).
If you ever need a dance, don't ask me why, I wouldn't know how
I'll be on my way, you're here to stay

All your moves they drive me mad, never had a clue, never knew what to do
Come on down, and there she went, never thought you I'd understand
All that I have heard, came down (on me)

If you ever need a dance, don't ask me why, I wouldn't know how
I'll be on my way, you're here to stay

Of, baby, you tear me down. It feels like rain but I bear that pain.
All your moves they drive me mad, never had a clue, never knew what to do
Come on down, and there she went, never thought you I'd understand
All that I have heard, came down (on me)

If you ever need a dance, don't ask me why, I wouldn't know how
I'll be on my way, you're here to stay
